RIVER FRONT CABIN! Time to unwind…relax…and enjoy the outdoors! Pull up and be welcomed by the large flat yard - great for playing games! Step onto the covered porch and walk inside the great room. Large open space with rock fireplace, flat screen TV, two sliding glass doors open to the screened in porch that over looks the Hiwassee River - here you'll want to spend all your time enjoying the comfy seating area with lots of pillows - great for taking a nap and listening to the sounds of the river. Enjoy lunch or dinner on the outdoor table. Back inside the spacious kitchen has everything needed for a quick snack or family meal. The main floor bedroom offers a Queen size bed and twin bed. Steps away is a full bathroom. Upstairs is a large bedroom with two queen size beds and a full bathroom. Back outside there is a wooden pathway that leads to large rocks giving access into the river. Fish, tube down the river or just relax while letting the water cool you off. The cabin is also minutes from John C Campbell Folk School!

This is third time we have stayed at Almost Heaven. We just love the calm, peace and joy one experiences while on the porch looking out to the river, hearing the birds singing and the water flowing. It is just magical. I am so grateful to who ever cleaned the porch. Last Spring we were not able to sit out there because it was covered in pollen. Thank you. The return filter in the upstairs bedroom needs to be changed and some of the pillows are lumpy. We did have to buy paper towels and toilet paper. We left the unused ones for the next guest. With that being said we love staying here. It is close to my sister in law. The location in great. Thanks for another great week!

Great customer service. Comfortable home. Could have been better stocked with paper towels and toilet paper. Want to remind you that a prior guest left loose food in the trash can outside. Also a reminder that the key is on the table. Check the front door knob. It is finicky and sticks. Can easily lock yourself out. We'll be back in May. Thank you. 🙏

We enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. Very nice and comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. There was an issue with the refrigerated. Had to throw out food. Could not watch TV the first couple of nights because the power strip went. Amanda bought a new one so we were able to set the TV back up and watch. Overall we were happy and will be coming back in October.

Lovely property, great location, reasonably priced, well stocked. The only negatives were the low-sitting furniture in the living area & the problematic shower doors. We are a party of 4 early senior adults. The furniture was too low to the floor & difficult to get out of for older folks. The shower doors were wobbly & often came off the tracks. There is not a safe bar for support. Otherwise, the place was perfect, & we’d love to come back.

Absolutely wonderful place. Hope to come back again. Wouldn’t change a thing but maybe have some wash cloths and hand towels in the upstairs bath.

We love this cabin! This was our second stay there and we love everything about it. Very clean and cute. The porch is the favorite breakfast/coffee spot as well as afternoon hangout also ha! Such a peaceful, relaxing view with the sounds of the river. Really beautiful!

The town is perfect. Easy to get to everything. The most beautiful scenic roads. The cabin was perfect, quiet, and cozy. The customer service is superb, allowing us to go in early. Very clean and accommodating! Makes for a second perfect Christmas vacation in a row!

The cabin was lovely and clean inside, although it did smell musty. The kitchen was spotless, the bathrooms were spotless. The bed linen and towels were crisp, clean, and looked new. Always a plus in my books. (There was a black magic marker spot on one of the comforters. Did not bother us, but i’m mentioning it so that we don’t get penalized for it.) The view and the sound of the river from the back porch were very relaxing. However, we did have to clean the plastic chairs and table before we could use them. Over all we were very satisfied. One tip though. There needed to be a path mowed to the front door as grass was high, and we tracked leaves etc in (which I vacuumed)
