The Ridge Runner Course
The Ridge Runner course has 11 awesome lines and one suspension bridge. Guests will zip over a mile through the forest while clipped onto one-half inch steel cables. The lines are as long as 600 feet in length, as much as 80 feet above the forest floor, and reach speeds up to 30 miles per hour! The course is inspected daily, weekly, monthly and annually to insure the safety of the cables and platforms.
What to Expect
A canopy tour at Ridge Runner takes about two hours. First, guests get an instruction session on how to ride the ziplines, the equipment, and safety procedures. Then, each rider is provided with a harness, leather gloves, helmet, safety lines, a trolley and carabiners, all of which have been thoroughly inspected by the Ridge Runner staff. Finally, the rider is connected to the cable at the trolley and the safety lines, and it’s time to start your zipline adventure!
Ziplining Requirements
There are three short hikes between launching points to gain elevation, so guests must be physically healthy and able to hike on mountain trails for short distances of 20 to 35 feet each. Closed-toe shoes are required, and no flip flops are allowed. Pants or long shorts are recommended, long hair has to be tied back, and one cannot wear loose jewelry.
