Paved roads lead you up the mountain to this beautiful setting - a great place for couples or families to just get away. The wrap around porch welcomes you as you first drive up. Step inside and find upscale comfort with an accommodating kitchen - perfect for a quick snack or a family meal. Large dining table and comfortable leather furniture sitting in front of a rock gas fireplace and flat screen TV. On the main floors offers two bedroom - both with Queen size beds, one offering a flat screen TV and full bathroom with walk in shower just down the hall. Upstairs is the master suite with a Queen size bed, full bathroom and a sitting area with small desk - if you must work, check emails or relax with a good book. Outside the covered porch is calling you name as you gaze out over the long range mountain views. Multiple seating areas, gas grill and a fire pit area just steps from the cabin. Garage offers a welcomed dry place for motorcycles! While taking in the mountain scenery and wildlife that you'll feel miles away from everything, but only 4 miles from downtown Murphy!

We stayed for a week in Smokey Sunset. Beautiful views of the mountains. Enjoyed the fireplace as well as the outside campfire. Very comfortable lodging. Several things to do in the area.

We were very pleased with our rental and the ladies at Mountain Country Rental office. The first cabin we chose was flooded and had water damage, Sam worked very hard to find us something else comparable. A storm was expected on Sunday morning when we were scheduled to leave and they told us to just hunker down until the risk was over, some would have just enforced the check out time. This type of customer service is what we think of next time we rent.
