1 - Murphy Art Walk, 5-8pm. Free. (Every first Friday through November)

15 - Cherokee County Chamber Golf Classic.  A day of golf and good fun.  1:00pm at Cherokee Hills Golf Course. 

  17 & 18  - American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  Begins at 7:00pm, will continue all night with closing ceremony Saturday morning.  For more info call 828-837-9180.

1 - 3rd Annual Art, Music and Garden Festival.  L&N Depot.  9am-4pm.

2 - Kickin' Asphalt Half Marathon

2- Annual Blacksmith & Fine Craft Auction.  2:00-5:00pm at John C. Campbell Folk School

 15 - The Murphy Hometown Chrismas Celebration begins at 6:00pm with tree lighting ceremony, music and entertainment. 

DECEMBER

7- Hometown Christmas Parade. Downtown Murphy with crafts, food, entertaiment and parade. Events begin at 2:00pm.

14 - Andrews Night Time Christmas Parade. Downtown Andrews Parade.

31 - 20th Annual New Year's Eve Possum Drop at Clay's Corner in Brasstown.
